چکیده
The implementation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) in clinical oncology has enabled the analysis multiple cancer-associated genes for diagnostics and treatment purposes. detection pathogenic likely mutations is crucial to manage disease. Obtaining mutational profile may be challenging samples with low yields DNA—reflected by type biological material, such as formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPE), needle biopsies, circulating free/tumor DNA, well a sparse tumor content. Moreover, standardized strict procedures extraction DNA setting might contribute lower amounts per µL. variants low-yield remains challenge diagnostics, where molecular analyses NGS are needed. Here, we performed vacuum centrifugation on extracted from five FFPE blocks, concentrations below 0.2 ng/µL. Through analysis, found that could concentrated sufficient levels, without compromising profile.

DNA Qualification Workflow for Next Generation Sequencing of Histopathological Samples
Histopathological samples are a treasure-trove of DNA for clinical research. However, the quality of DNA can vary depending on the source or extraction method applied. Thus a standardized and cost-effective workflow for the qualification of DNA preparations is essential to guarantee interlaboratory reproducible results. The qualification process consists of the quantification of double strand D...

Next generation sequencing (NGS) has become a powerful approach in the field of infectious diseases and has revolutionized clinical microbiology and virology. However, despite the advances in these technologies, the use of NGS remains challenging for complex samples, such as ultra-low copy samples, samples with poor integrity of nucleic acids, and single cells. NGS is currently being adapted to...

Diagnostic Yield of Clinical Next-Generation Sequencing Panels for Epilepsy During the past 2 years, next-generation DNA sequencing (NGS) has become a widespread diagnostic tool in neurology. Several studies have addressed the diagnostic yield and cost of NGS relative to other types of DNA testing. G-banded karyotyping identifies chromosomal aberrations and has a 3% diagnostic yield for unexpla...
